This is our latest summer project.
In our area the trash is required to be protected from wildlife. After couple incidents involving some wild beast and our appetizing garbage, we decided to put together something solid and more permanent. And this is what happened…

The project took about 3 weeks (more like total of couple hours, because most of the shed was built during baby’s nap time).
It’s all combination of brown pressure treated deck boards, some painted plywood (heavy duty deck paint) and some scrap wood found in random places;) As per tools, I mostly used jig saw (I know, I know…there are much better tools for that job. But actually, because of all the weird angles, this little blade was much more versatile than some of the bigger machines. Plus every single cut was so slow, that I had enough time to rethink all the next steps. And, in my opinion, some of the (not) perfect cuts somehow fit into this structure.). Though, for most of the long cuts I asked M. to do his magic with the table saw.

Oh, and painting windows with chalk paint was such a good idea. Now we have a custom message board and another room for kids to go wild with there drawings.

Kids decided that now, when we are experienced homebuilders, our next built should be a play house (with a slide, and tunnels, and hiding spots, and climbing walls, and…). Well, we’ll see…
